Hey everyone!
Today we have a little music theory to our chord of the day. This lovely F minor chord could easily be played in a minor key song. However, you could use it to add emotional twists in your major scales as well. In this case, the C major scale has an F as its fourth position, and this could be altered by simply adding an F minor instead, or right after.
A wonderful example of this is to be found in a song by Calum Scott called ‘You are the reason’. The chords for this song can be found on Ultimate Guitar.
So whenever you are playing a song in a major key, try altering the fourth position with a minor chord to add a fancy little twist every now and then.
Have fun and see you tomorrow 🎶
