Hey out there, everyone!

Today’s chord is Am7 with the bass note A on the fifth fret of the lowest E string. The x marks strings that are not played and have to be muted. This Am7 has a jazzy sound to it and could be performed in a descending line from the barre C major chord to a G major. Besides being quite fancy to play, it makes your fretting hand more flexible to play up and down the neck. The piano chord below represents the same notes played on the guitar, however, does not describe the traditional Am7 shape played on the piano.

So long all the best and try to implement this chord today in your writing. 🎶
