D7 root-5

Hello everyone!

Are you up for a new chord today? We have this beautiful D7 chord right here for you. The only difference between the guitar chord and the piano chord is that you play an A note while you play the octave D on the guitar. If you want to play exactly the same chord as on the guitar, just change the A for the D next to the represented C. It gives you a more dissonant sound and feels sadder.

So perhaps try a Song like ‘Leaving on a Jetplane’ by John Denver where the D7 is commonly used and try exchanging it for this altered D7 root 5 instead.

Have fun with today’s chord and see you all tomorrow🎶
